I've heard more than once that whenever tickets go on sale for a Ross concert that there are always seats available up until show time. Have you heard this too?

The Die Hards are in denial. Notice they are back on Ross has been a solo act since 1965 because they need for her to claim the success of the Supremes to cover up the 20 or so flop albums, failed concerts, and a lackluster solo career.

That's because they are beyond delusional, they have solidly entered the realm of being just plain fucked up! Everyone that knows anything about the Supremes knows that Diana Ross did not go solo until 1970! Any recording that she was on before that was with the Supremes! Florence, Mary and Diane!

If the public knew that some of the records did not include the Supremes they would not have purchased them. Milli Vanilli?

If the public knew that some of the records did not include the Supremes they would not have purchased them. Milli Vanilli? Did you know that according to the individual Supremes recording contracts that it was illegal for Motown to replace any of them on recordings if they were not ill and available? This fact was brought out in Mary Wilson's lawsuit against Motown in 1978 which is now why we know that on some singles released between 1967-69 she and Cindy were not on them. Mary was the first to tell about it in her book "Dreamgirl, My Life As A Supremes". Now, Diana Ross fans want to pretend that neither Mary or Florence were on most of the records which is utter bullshit to say the least.

The people I talked to who were into the Supremes at the time said the harmonies of the Supremes were a factor in their success. Also, the fans knew the blend of Florence and Mary, even on the Happening.
What was the outcome of the lawsuit if it was illegal to shut Mary Wilson and Flo from the recordings?
The singles that featured the Andantes besides Love Child and Someday and Livin In Shame were flops, so I am not sure this something to brag about. In fact it started the trend of her solo career, numerous flop singles then a big hit, then numerous flop singles. What Berry Gordy did was fraud, and if the public knew what was going on they would have boycotted those recordings.

What Berry Gordy did was fraud, and if the public knew what was going on they would have boycotted those recordings. Here's the situation in a nutshell that dumb-assed Diana Ross fans can't seem to grasp. When the Primettes started out there were four singers so that anytime anyone of them took the lead, you still had three singers that could create 3 PART HARMONY in the background. Once Barbara Martin left, the Supremes were left with three singers with one on lead and two providing the harmony. It was difficult for two singers no matter how great they were to create 3 Part Harmony in the background so at times you would have the lead singer do her bit, then jump back with the other two to sing background parts. Technology not being what it is today even made recording that way difficult so at times the Motown producers would add a couple of session singers (Andantes) to support Mary and Florence on SOME records that required a fuller sound. Their greatest record was "Come See About Me" and that had just Mary and Florence on background! Yes, the majority of the cuts the used the Andantes sucked because of their generic sound.
The outcome of Mary's lawsuit was that she was awarded half ownership of the trademark "The Supremes" and Motown settled with her, along with giving her a solo recording contract.

The New York Center is a 2200 seat venue. Ross' tribe will be there for all three dates. I am not sure I would like it if I knew the same people were following me around from show to show. I would like to think I could go to a town and sell out from that demographic.

does she still own 50% of the name? No. When Berry Gordy sold Motown, the name/trademark was sold along with it. Mary received payment for her share of ownership in the name.

I am in no way an expert on the Supremes. That being said, to my ears the albums Country Western and Pop, Sam Cooke, and Liverpool feature extensive harmony. Who is singing on these records?
On Back In My Arms Again there is background where the girls sound like they are singing "HMMMMMMMM". How were they able to sustain those notes for the duration and volume of that sound? I've never been able to figure that out.

No work between Feb and April. By design or lack of bookings? Ross is just doing dates now without an official tour. I heard they got her a new gown for her 12/7/16 because it would have been inappropriate for her wear her regular stage attire at a fashion event.
