That dress is extremely inappropriate for the White House. Ross should have shown respect for the White House and pulled her hair into a bun. This photo is so tacky. I can't believe she went to the White House looking like that. Ross what happened? I am disgusted by the abusive and misogynistic and offensive comments towards women on this here forum. This is hate speech, not freedom of speech. Trash talk and mud slinging have no place at Soulful Detroit, so have fun while you can at your new squat. All of you creatures and critters have crawled here from under your rocks to disrespect a 72 year old Grandmother. Marv / Hector you really should write a gossip column for a woman's magazine... The intense dislike of Diana Ross has made it easy to repudiate and to deny her of having a musical legacy by both the critics and the general public. I do not believe Diana Ross is being treated unfairly.

Miss Ross deserves a postage stamp. The Supremes and all the top girl groups already had postage stamps thanks to the singular efforts of Mary Wilson! Diane needs a postage stamp, a box and a destination address of Tazmania!

Berry Gordy reveals why he never married Diana Ross
Motown founder Berry Gordy revealed recently in a television interview that he never asked superstar Diana Ross to marry him early in her career because "she had to have that stardom" and he didn't want their relationship to interfere with that.
Gordy, in a recent interview with Barbara Walters on ABC-TV's "20/20", admitted he loved the young starlet who came to prominence as lead vocalist with the Supremes with such hits as Baby Love, Come See About Me and Back In My Arms Again. She left the group in 1970 and skyrocketed to solo success with a string of chart-toppers including, Ain't No Mountain High Enough, Reach Out and Touch, The Boss, Upside Down and I'm Coming Out.
"Diana and I are the same kind of people," Gordy began, adding, "She wanted what I wanted. And we saw it up there, we set out to get it and we vowed never to let our personal relationship affect it."
Gordy continued, "I loved her but wasn't selfish enough to want to marry her and take her out of what I knew she had to have. She had to have that stardom up there."
After they broke up, Gordy said, they had one final rendezvous together and she became pregnant. Years passed before he realized the child was his own, Gordy said. He said it wasn't until he noticed the remarkable resemblance as she got older that it dawned on him that Rhonda must be his child. When the girl was 13, he and Diana told her that Gordy was her biological father, Gordy revealed.
Does anyone really believe this story?

Laughable! I read the Gordy was a pimp in the early days. Miss Ray's book sheds light on his character.

Hell naw...... He knew all during Diane's first marriage that she had given birth to his baby. Diana Ross finally admitted that Berry Gordy was the father of her first child. I was living in the US at the time and every citizen in the US already knew. Why would she write a book and not discuss this? There are OTHER things about Diana Ross that everybody in the US already knows..... By the time Diana Ross fell apart when her White husband dumped her on television, most people felt "What Goes Around Comes Around". Most people just dislike Diana Ross because she cannot sing and is vicious to people. Hello?

What does race have to do anything? Diana Ross fell in love with a white man that is all. I love Diana Ross and she has been awarded for her long walk to freedom by President Obama.

Diane has never done a damn thing for her people. Gordy took her black ass out the Detroit ghetto. All those marriages to white men are nothing to brag about. Isn’t she in a rehab in Arizona right now? People like you are to blame for this – go to shit!

I don't recall Diana Ross doing anything for Detroit, black people etc. When she raised money for that kids park in Central Park, that was for rich kids that live on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Poor or working class kids from Harlem, the Bronx or the outer boroughs can't use that park on a regular basis at all! So she's back in rehab huh? Figures!
