Dreamgirls wasnt about the Supremes and had a huge 80 million dollars budget and big stars like Jamie Foxx and Beyonce and Eddie Murphy and Danny Glover. Robert darling you are so stupid, you would trip over a cordless phone honeybunch. I planned to slap your face over your moronic post, but it would go viral and I would be shamed on the interntet for cruelty to dumb animals. Girl you need your own show!

Not even a good dream BG. For us huge Flo fans this is an f'n nightmare. The woman can't catch a break. If a big production company were behind this it might have a chance. This sounds like some bootleg Detroit bullshit. And I have to reiterate that Hollywood biopics are rarely historically accurate. I just watched Hidden Figures the other day. Fantastic movie. But after the movie went off and I looked up additional information about it and read how different the movie was from actual events, I was reminded once again how Hollywood gets down. Why would Flo's story be any different? She has tons of rumors flying around about her. Unless a movie were going to clear all of that up, it would only serve to muddy her story. And if that's the case, what exactly is the point of a Flo Ballard biopic, to further spread controversy? I know a couple of clowns around here love that kind of thing with their sick asses, but Flo deserves better. Folks like you who just blurt out their opinions wouldn't be so bad if they thought first.

RanRan darling do not speak for Thanxal, Vgalindo, PeacenHarmony, JobeteRob, Bluesock, and Roberta75 by saying they would like a controversial Florence Ballard biopic. They can speak for themselves. By saying clowns, everyone knew this was a thinly veiled attack against them because everyone knows who the clowns are around here. Was it necessary to call them sick asses honeybunch?
The problem with you RanRan darling is your posts have the subtlety of a jack hammer but the depth of a shot glass honeybunch. Let's work on that sweetie.
I agree Chaireaction. I don't always agree with Thanxal, Vgalindo, JobeteRob, Bluesock, and Roberta75 but he was wrong to call them clowns and sick asses. Everyone knows EXACTLY who he is referring to. Imagine that from the resident snitch, so concerned about an alleged attempt to out Bluebrock, such behavior from someone who had personal conversations with Maxine Powell on the telephone. I think it is time for the resident snitch to self report.
The problem with RanRan is that he is trying to be a SMART ass, when he really is just another ass. It's not working honeybunch,

Beyonce didn't star in a movie about Etta James. She co-starred in a film about the Cadillac Records label and she played Etta James in it but it wasn't "The Etta James Story".
No one is saying that Flo's story is not interesting. She was a part of a legendary group and her death is considered on of rock's greatest tragedies but the fact of the matter is if Motown/Universal doesn't back it up and Sony/ATV Songs which administers the songs refuses to license them to the production then there is essentially no movie.

Florence was an integral part of the Supremes from 1964-1967. When she left the group the press was intrigued by her for the next year or so after her leaving. Most singers in her position- not being the lead singer of the group- would never have commanded such attention. The Supremes were the show during Flo's tenure, contrary to the lie that it was Diana Ross and only her. I have receipts to back up my position. And I think it's incredible that all of these years after Florence's passing that she's still getting attention at all. My vote is still "no" on a movie, but it is heart warming that Flo is still, somehow, an active part of the business. If done right Flo's story would make a powerful movie. It's poverty to success, violence against women, the effects of mental illness, the dirtiness of the music business, the bond between women, the power men with power have over women, alcoholism, loving the wrong man, high times, low times, having it all and losing it, fighting losing battles. And while the story ends tragically in the death of a very young woman, the ending also can't be told without showcasing Flo's fortitude to overcome her obstacles and get back in the race. Her story is really a story about life. Sure, it's not the Avengers or some summer blockbuster type story, but for anyone who just likes good old fashion storytelling, a movie on Flo with all the right pieces would be something to see. But Love Supreme is right: there's almost no chance the music is cleared.

LoveSupreme darling, you need to re-read your original post:
"if Motown/Universal doesn't back it up and Sony/ATV Songs which administers the songs refuses to license them to the production then there is essentially no movie. "
Where this trash about major financial backing to afford music licenses comes from is a mystery. Did you take your dementia medicine today honeybunch? We don't need more gun control in this country, we need more idiot control dearie.

Or was it given away for free and you took an overdose?
