The shows were never sold out. Tickets were available for every show. I checked the website. Uh huh! I knew they were lying, thank you Chainreaction. There approx 8 million people in NYC and over 16 million in the Metro area. It looks like what happened on her South American tour is happening now. A tiny fraction of the people that could go see her are going over and over. LOL!!!!I have many friends in hospitality / food and beverage in NYC and Nevada. Diane's crew books suites for the length of her dates and this is their vacation. They can only really do this twice year, so you won't be seeing too many extended engagements besides NYC or the Venetian Room. Insiders know this. If there were such a demand why not do in 2 nights what it is going to take 6-7 by playing Radio City Music Hall, after all Bette and Aretha did. The answer is because they will not book Diane at Radio City Music Hall or Carnegie Hall, and it is not for want of trying. Trust me, I know.

It sounds like she couldn't even get the Manhattan Center (Hammerstein Ballroom), or the Beacon Theater for that matter? Both are far more well known than the old City Center of NY. I have honestly never heard of a concert held at the City Center that I wanted to attend and most people I know have ever heard of it.

I have just realized something. The reason Diana Ross fans are making all of this hub bub about her playing City Center, an old, no name theater is because they are desperate for something , anything that would boost her very dead career. They can't seem to come to grasps with the fact that RTL was last shot. she is now for all intents and purposes, a non-stop Oldies road act that picks up gigs here and there whenever and wherever she can get them. Didn't they find it strange that there is NO predetermined tour itinerary and that new shows are announced weekly? Even with her changing the "name" of her tour every3-4 months, most people can see right through it that it is not really a tour, it is a one night (and sometimes multiple nights) road act. There is a reason why this so called very wealthy woman is burning up the road doing gigs every night or every other night like she was back on the old Motortown Revue. She's running out of places to play when she has to play places like City Center in a city like New York that have so many other nice and modern venues. Not even Oprah Winfrey or Whoopi Goldberg can help her much now. She is on her final tour bus I believe with no end in sight for the time being I believe.
Now all of this feigned hysteria over the rerelease of a 50 year old (Supremes A Go Go) that some people have long since forgotten they even own and is somewhere molding in their basements is just a bit ridiculous LOL!

Marv-Hector/DetroitSISSSY313, aunt mary would sell all of Mark Bighole's drag dresses to play 1 night at a 3,000 seat NYC theater. Everyone, DON'T believe any of Marv-Hector's bullshit cause he full of shit. When Ron Rossmore told me about of all the dirty ASSHOLES you and your Havana Lover TWTR4EVAH have lick in the past 50 years it explained why you both have that nasty, stinky, shitty smell about you, You both smell like a living toilet bowl that haven't been flushed in months. And furthermore Marv-Hector you shouldn't be making fun of anybody BITCH when you look like a 69 year old Noxzema Jackson lol. Diana playing 5 nights in Manhattan and Old Miriam Watkins is still stuck in Henderson Nevada with a 450lb obese heifer and a son and adopted sissy son Willie-Mae who in and out of the county jails, The Black Elephant can't unload her White Elephant, without taking a major loss, Tell the Trailer Park to get ready, Mother mary is coming home!!!

According to City Center's website there are 3 (as in: THREE!) balcony tickets left for this last night of Diana's phenomenal hit run at NY's historic City Center; reseller StubHub has 12 tickets ranging in price from $299 to $699. This gig has been a wonderful experience for nearly 12,000 fans and yet another feather in Miss Ross' boa!

It is indeed sad and weird. I've managed to bypass their comments by adding them to my 'ignore' list. Anyhoo - and a great (indeed, historic!) career Diana Ross has and continues to have, as currently proven by the excitement over the release of the 'A' Go-Go' album and the sellout crowds at Manhattan's City Center!

Yeah, Meth2! Isn't it great! I saw her "Return-To-Love" tour performance in western New York state two years ago and it was fantastic! Three standing ovations! And that same tour is STILL making the rounds today! They keep extending it over and over to the same bombastic reviews! It's sure makes ya feel good!

I saw the show last night and she did It's My House. That is not to say that she didn't, at some point, do It's My Turn as I hear she trades out some songs. By the way, ll songs were sung through, no medleys except Love Hangover into Take Me Higher.
The City Center show was fantastic. I was on of the people in the rafters (a much better place to sit that the rear mezzanine which is more expensive). The energy in the theatre was palpable and it seemed as though Diana fed off of that energy. She looked like she was having fun, really enjoying herself! That was so wonderful to see. She sounded great and brought her grandchildren onstage to dance with her. Then she invited their mothers, her step-daughter and Rhonda. She handed the mic to Rhonda and wanted her to sing and she wailed for a couple of minutes and then Diana told her to give the mic back! 5 costume changes and a great band and background vocalists. The show was about an hour and forty minutes, no intermission and no opening act. She also announced that she will be doing a short tour this summer with Rhonda as her opening

May I also add that last night, the audience included Andy Skurow, Harry Weinger, Clive Davis, and Sean Combs. Those were the only ones I know about, there may have been more celebs.

A friend who attended the concert last night, notated her set list:
I'm Coming Out More Today Than Yesterday My World Is Empty Without You Baby Love Stop! In The Name Of Love Come See About Me You Can't Hurry Love Love Child The Boss Touch Me In The Morning It's Hard For Me To Say Upside Down It's My House Love Hangover / Take Me Higher Ease On Down The Road The Look Of Love Good Morning Heartache Don't Explain Why Do Fools Fall In Love Do You Know Where You're Going To? I Will Survive Ain't No Mountain High Enough Reach Out And Touch (Somebody's Hand I Will Survive (Reprise)

Do we know if Diana enters through the audience?

PeaceNHarmony, she does not at City Center. She enters from from stage right. In fact, all her entrances and exits are stage right. Her only audience interaction was reaching down to shake hands with people during Reach Out, and at the end.
