Yeah, Meth2! Isn't it great! I saw her "Return-To-Love" tour performance in western New York state two years ago and it was fantastic! Three standing ovations! And that same tour is STILL making the rounds today! They keep extending it over and over to the same bombastic reviews! It's sure makes ya feel good! LMAO at Meth2. The poor old Bitch has to be hooked on meth or crack to be this preoccupied with Diana Ross. It's just killing the Gruesome twosome Marv-Hector and TWTR4EVAH that Diana has a 5 night gig in Manhattan that's garnering great reviews. aunt mary performed for 400 at BBKings 2 month ago and Goldstar were selling the tickets for $20. Poor Motown Matress-Minnie Wilkins didn't get reviewed ONCE. Diana Ross is all Meth2-He your and TWTR4EVAH talk about in between performing sloppy, gummy blow jobs at they local glory holes in the men's room at dark truck stops. Meth2-Hector and hIs toothless Ho of a boyfriend TWTR4EVAH have built up old broke aunt mary up over at youtube to be the main competition for Madonna, Taylor Swift, Diana Ross, Cher and Mariah Carey, but how could such an Icon and Superstar like Mimmette Wilkins go Bankrupt a 2nd time? LMAO. Hector-Gurl just a tape worm falling out of mary wilson's sagging old rectum every time she farts LOL

There was a huge Billboard ad in 1976 saying New York Loves Diana!
41 years later it is still true

It's official - the first three nights were completely sold out! I honestly believe it's because she is enjoying herself onstage. She truly seemed to be having as much fun as the audience. Her voice is in good shape, she's never abused it or diminished it by oversinging as some singers have. But, we were having a great time because she was having a great time. It showed in her interaction with her band and singers. Also, she is the first singer I've seen who had lights come up on the audience at the end of every number. She would point up to people in the Mezzanine and balcony, and wave at people. She said "You don't know this but while you're watching me, I'm watching you. I can see everybody. " Nice article; Diana's sellout run at City Center made international news! Great pictures in this article, and I love this quote: "Diana has also been dubbed as one of the Five Mighty Pop Divas of the Sixties along with Dusty Springfield, Aretha Franklin, Martha Reeves, and Dionne Warwick." So true!

Click link and scroll for Musto's rave (what else!?) review; here's copy-n'-paste:
At City Center on Friday night (after having already done several nights there), the dizzying Diana Ross sparkled, providing a lovefest consisting of wondrous oldies and fabulous fashions. She entered in a glittery green gown topped by a green chiffon cape, singing “I’m Coming Out” to thunderous applause from a lot of people who could certainly identify. The Motown legend looked great, smiled infectiously, and definitely wasn’t phoning it in. Rather than toss off a quickie melody of Supremes hits, she did entire versions of many of them—like “Baby Love,” “Come See About Me,” and “You Can’t Hurry Love”—delivering each one with such loving care, you felt it was her first time performing them. Singing the haunting “My World Is Empty Without You,” she was backed by slides of late, lamented music legends who’ve left a void. Joking “This is my life story,” Diana went into a captivating “Love Child” (“Scorned by society… Different from the rest”) and during an instrumental riff at the end of the song, she went offstage, then re-emerged in a red sparkly gown and furry jacket, singing a rollicking “The Boss,” by now having reminded us that at 73, that’s exactly what she is. This led to winning versions of “Touch Me In the Morning,” “Upside Down,” “Love Hangover,” and “Ease on Down The Road” (from The Wiz), as I realized that Diana was determined to serve a full platter of career highlights, making for a hearty meal of glittery nostalgia. After another change—into something that was very Big Bird by way of Liberace—she delivered a stunning version of Billie Holiday’s “Don’t Explain” (which Miss Ross performed in her Oscar-nominated Lady Sings The Blues). It was unfettered and direct and brilliant and breathtaking—the high point of the evening. And I was thrilled to know there was even more to come. I turned to my friend and said, “She’d better do Mahogany,” and sure enough, after yet another fashion switcheroo, Diana gave us that kitschily appealing theme song. And she really had the audience going with “I Will Survive,” encoring with her trademark crowd connecter, “Reach Out and Touch (Somebody’s Hand)” as arms waved and we swayed as one. As the band played some more “Survive” riffs, daughter Rhonda Ross Kendrick came up to sing a few bars and then they all exited, with Diana professing love for each and every one of us. I wish they’d have played her off with one of her own songs—maybe “Someday We’ll Be Together” or “Remember Me”—and I also wish the concert had gone on for 100 more hours, so I could hear “In and Out of Love,” “The Composer” and so many others of my faves—but that wouldn’t be realistic, and to paraphrase the Billie Holliday ditty: “Don’t complain.” Diana gave 100 percent, and the result reminded us of the power of showmanship, star quality and live singing."

The reviews this year were better than ever Where's the New York Times review? Reviews of a singer with a dead career means nothing! Does Diana Ross even have a personal, professional website?

I think Diana Ross had more potential as an actress than a singer. She has a small but distinctive voice coupled with out of control ego and ambition. I will give her credit for developing a distinctive show biz style - the problem is it has been out of date since 1985 and she can't change with the times. There will be some old queens, drag queens, and straight people out for a night of nostalgia who will come see her shows. This is pretty much the end of the line for Miss Ross.

I have to agree Ed. She has been unable or unwilling to update her act, her style even her clothing. Her ego may be to blame, along with all the "yes people" aka fans that made her believe that she was divine no matter what. This way of thinking has left her decades behind what is now contemporary. Some people now use her age (she is now 73 years old) as a cop out without acknowledging that Diana Ross lost her relevancy right around age 39-40. They used the excuse in the late 80s and 90s that she was too busy raising her kids to devote any real effort into her career. That is more than a bit disingenuous when we know that there are millions of working mothers with careers out there. Ross has had an advantage over most of them due to the amount of financial resources at her disposal.
So now, it is her age as the culprit for not being able to sing well, record new music or act in a film. Gladys Knight, Mary Wilson, Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle and even Martha Reeves have all had recordings released this decade and they are all either the same age as or very close to her age. Their children do not prevent them from presenting their best to the public. Diana Ross is just lazy and not very talented creatively speaking. Her whole everything is STALE!

You and Marv should hook up and get a room somewhere and fight it out.
