No one cares about Lynda Lawrence, who sang with the group for a year and recorded the flop single Bad Weather. Bluebrock keeps stating her interview is a focal point of his book. Evidently he flew out to the States to interview Jean Terrell. Any profits he could possibly imagine from this project were eaten up with costs of that flight. Oh that is right, he is getting big money to tell his story.

It's more like Lynda Lawrence Who? I remember being with Berry Gordy and his brother Robert in 1994. His autobiography had just come out. Berry loved Diana and Mary. He had respect for Cindy Birdsong and Jean Terrell. He knew Scherrie Payne before he met any of the Supremes including Diane, Mary, Flo and Barbara! Scherrie's mom use to work for the Gordy's at their store. I kid you not. He did not readily remember Lynda Lawrence. He had to be reminded that she had worked with Stevie's band as a singer. So interviewing her is bullshit and a waste of time! Interviewing Jean Terrell is a waste of time because she is not going to tell you ANYTHING! He being from the U.K. she doesn't know him and Jean does not open up with people she really does not know. I can promise you that! So he is lying about her too. Jean could have easily written a book right after Mary Wilson's but didn't. She's just not into "putting things out there" especially if she is not getting paid. Anything you hear or see Mary Wilson do, I can guarantee you she is getting paid! Bluecock has no story. I am not saying that he does not find his own life interesting, it's just that no one else will. Diana Ross is very disliked in the U.S. so any book that is not slamming the shit out of her will not sell here. He never knew Diane well enough to get dirty or any dirt on him. LOL!!! He also has not interviewed some of the stars he's claimed to have. He is an unknown quantity or is that entity? LOL!

Scherrie stated that her family was close to the Gordy's, so she could not understand his lack of support for the final incarnation of the Supremes.

Why does she look like a Sunkist orange. Her skin color changes all the time. Also, her hands look knarly. Seriously, I hope nothing is wrong with her. She barely moves on stage anymore. Kind of shuffling along so to speak.

Scherrie stated that her family was close to the Gordy's, so she could not understand his lack of support for the final incarnation of the Supremes. In fairness and for the sake of accuracy. Berry was no longer running the music division of Motown by the time Scherrie came along. They had guys like Ewart Abner, Michael Roshkind and a slew of others that were killing that part of the business while Berry was off somewhere in Europe making movies with his "star" Miss Ross. The guys that took over for him didn't give a damn about the artists and apparently the marketing of the music.

Ross timed her comeback with Dreamgirls, the movie. She has been on the road ever since doing more one nighters than she did with the Motortown Revue. Her hands are disfigured as if she has rheumatoid arthritis, there is that persistent pot belly, her legs have to be covered because they are repulsive to look at and so on.. There is more to this story and it probably will not be revealed until she dies.

I read a comment she made recently and I would love to get your thoughts on it. Just recently she said, "My purpose in life is to perform........." What do you make of that statement given the current conditions surrounding her as we know them?

I find the fact that she only crawled out from under her rock of obscurity when DREAMGIRLS the movie proved to be a critical success. The better to ride it's coattails to a last hurrah. The washed up hag needs to fade away permanently now.

Cindy Birdsong said in an interview in Goldmine magazine that Lynda Lawrence was actually a sub for her while she had her baby.

The washed up hag needs to fade away permanently now. Ross was able to get some traction out of Dreamgirls. The reality is Ross is closing out her career as a washed up has been. A few desperate fans post their fantasies that Clive Davis and Justin Timberlake are begging to work with her, but this is obviously not true.
In the early days of the internet, Ross' presence was significant. The book Diana' Dogs covers the plethora of Ross groups, forums, and chat rooms and the madness that they entailed. Out of everything that has happened to Ross since her fall from grace, is how each and everyone one of them is shut down. The only active forum in support for her is at Soulful Detroit. That never ceases to amaze me.

She pretended to hate "Dreamgirls" so much when it was on Broadway and hinted at suing over the movie, yet she tried to us it to her advantage to sell that abomination of a CD called "I Love You". I heard that she couldn't even give that CD away. No one wanted a new CD by Diana Ross. LOL!!!!
